6月8日，汕尾市妇女联合会李惠文主席向商会送来感谢函，代表全市广大人民群众，尤其是受资助的受灾妇女群众，向深圳市汕尾商会的关心和帮助表示由衷的谢意。
2013年9月，强台风“天兔”正面袭击汕尾市，给汕尾市人民群众的生命财产造成严重损失，在汕尾市救灾复产的时刻，商会发动会员及时伸出援助之手，捐款17. 97万元，帮助汕尾市受灾单亲特困母亲重建家园。
据了解，为把温暖和关爱送给最需要帮助的群众，汕尾市妇女联合会高度重视，组织全市妇联组织在第一时间开展调研摸底，在广泛调查了解的基础上，将最需要援助的60户单亲特困母亲家庭纳入了帮扶对象，使她们的房屋得到了及时修缮，早日恢复正常生活。汕尾市妇联还向商会提供了《受资助单亲特困母亲情况汇总表》、 《单亲特困母亲房屋修缮申请表》等文件以备查阅。
